Endeavor announced today that Ankur Gopal, Founder of Interapt, was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur at the 10th Virtual International Selection Panel held from December 9-11, 2020. Ankur was selected into the global Endeavor network by a panel of global business leaders including: Diego Piacentini (Senior Advisor, KKR), Elly Keinan (Managing Director, Vista Estrella Consulting), Geoffrey Godding (Digital and Innovation Leader, EY), Luis Arbulú (Partner, Salkantay), Lynda Applegate (Professor, Harvard Business School), and Ziad Oueslati (Executive Founding Partner, AfricInvest).
Interapt is a provider of information technology solutions and services, including software development, process automation, cloud engineering, data science, and IT support services. Interapt’s contract-to-hire model addresses the widening talent gap in technology by training the next generation of IT talent, while providing enterprise clients with efficient technology solutions. Partnering with General Assembly, Interapt has built one of the first large-scale IT apprenticeship and training programs in the U.S., identifying and training “diamond in the rough” candidates through a 3-month skills program and a paid 12-month apprenticeship, securing projects for talent to be deployed at Fortune 500 clients like Humana, EY, and GE Appliances. Based in Louisville, Interapt’s remote-ready, scalable B2B model provides quality education and employment, and solves the tech gap for big companies. In 2020, Interapt has grown rapidly, and the company continues to expand as it takes on the $9B entry-level tech talent market in the U.S.
Endeavor’s International Selection Panel is the culmination of a rigorous multi-step selection process to identify high-impact entrepreneurs who demonstrate the potential to leverage Endeavor’s resources and mentorship to create large-scale wealth and jobs, and are committed to reinvesting their time and money in their local entrepreneurship ecosystems to help others take off.
At Endeavor’s 10th and final Virtual International Selection Panel in 2020, panelists utilized Zoom breakout rooms to interview a small group of high-caliber entrepreneur candidates about their businesses. In “deliberation rooms” — private Zoom meetings with only Endeavor staff and panelists — panelists evaluated the entrepreneurs on their potential for high-impact growth, discussed which candidates should be selected to become Endeavor Entrepreneurs, then voted unanimously to select the newest Endeavor Entrepreneurs, including Ankur Gopal.
As part of Endeavor’s unparalleled global network, Ankur will gain access to comprehensive, strategic, global support services, including introductions to local and international business mentors, investors, and volunteers from Fortune 500 consulting firms who will help them address key needs. Endeavor Entrepreneurs have had a significant track record of impact. Endeavor Entrepreneurs have created 4.1M+ jobs, generated $26.8 billion in revenues in 2019, and help build sustainable growth models in their home countries.
Ankur Gopal joins the Endeavor network through the regional Endeavor affiliate office based in Louisville, Kentucky. Ankur is the 20th entrepreneur to be selected into Endeavor from the region, joining BehaVR (Aaron Gani), Rivera Group (Joey Rivera, Ph.D), Red e App (Jonathan Erwin and Patrick Goodman), El Toro (Stacy Griggs), SkuVault (Andy Eastes and Slav Ivanyuk), Edj Analytics (Sean O’Leary), Handle (Kyle Green), MXD Process (Mark Franco), Rabbit Hole Distillery (Kaveh Zamanian), Hot Chicken Takeover (Joe DeLoss), Capture Higher Ed (Steve Huey, Len Napolitano, and Eric Shriner), AppHarvest (Jonathan Webb), Switcher Studio (Nick Mattingly), and LISNR (Rodney Williams).
