With the new year in full swing, it’s time to look back at 2019 and the impact Endeavor entrepreneurs, mentors, sponsors, and board members have had on the Louisville community and region.
Take a look at what we were up to last year and some of the biggest news from the entrepreneurs in our network:
- 17 high-impact entrepreneurs from 13 companies have been selected into Endeavor from across Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio
- Endeavor Entrepreneurs in our region generated over $110 million in revenue and have created 802 jobs in 2019
- Last year, Endeavor Entrepreneurs received 260 hours of direct mentorship through our office
- Over 1125 hours of entrepreneurial activity was generated by our office
- SkuVault raised an $8 million Series A with participation from Endeavor Catalyst
- Rabbit Hole Distillery, led by Endeavor Entrepreneur Kaveh Zamanian, entered into a partnership with Pernod Ricard, an industry-leading spirits company
- In March, in partnership with EY, we launched the first Endeavor Scale Up program in the Midwest
- In April, during the 87th International Selection Panel in Madrid, Spain, Nick Mattingly (Switcher Studio) was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur
- In August, Mark Franco (MXD Process) attended the Scaling Entrepreneurial Ventures program at Harvard Business School
- During the program, Harvard Business School featured (fellow Endeavor Entrepreneur) Joe DeLoss’ company Hot Chicken Takeover as a case study
- On September 9th, community leaders and businesses from the Louisville and Bay Area met in Silicon Valley for “Endeavor Day”
- During the 90th International Selection Panel in Atlanta, GA, four entrepreneurs from two Kentucky companies were selected as Endeavor Entrepreneurs. The entrepreneurs that were selected are Jonathan Web (AppHarvest), Leonard Napolitano (Capture Higher Ed), Eric Shriner (Capture Higher Ed), and Steve Huey (Capture Higher Ed)
- Last year our beloved founding Board Chairman and Chair Emeritus, David A. Jones Sr., passed away at 88 years-old. The co-founder of Humana, his impact on the Louisville entrepreneurial community was profound
- In November, Endeavor Entrepreneurs Joe DeLoss (Hot Chicken Takeover) and Rodney Williams (of LISNR) attended the 2019 Endeavor Gala in New York City
- In December, during the 92nd International Selection Panel in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Aaron Gani (BehaVR) was selected as an Endeavor Entrepreneur
